Matthew Marney
Matt is a recent arrival to Dubai and has been a personal trainer since 2003. He has been involved in every aspect of the fitness industry including teaching fitness classes; working on exercise referral schemes and running children’s weight management groups. He spent over a decade managing a gymnasium which was part of a large orthopedic clinic in the UK where he worked as post rehabilitation specialist and was involved in delivering a range of private and NHS-funded rehab schemes including community stroke rehabilitation groups
Matt had suffered back pain for some time and in late 2003 was diagnosed with rheumatoid
arthritis. Pilates was prescribed as part of his treatment and Matt was so impressed with the results and how it changed his life, that in 2005 he became a Pilates teacher.
Matt is a comprehensive qualified studio instructor and teaches Matwork, reformer and studio sessions. Matt has also spent the last 8 years working as a tutor and assessor for leading fitness and Pilates training providers in the UK and this is a role he continues in Dubai.
