Description
Pilates is a complex form of movement as it requires attention to all body parts during its performance, and practitioners tend to get lost when cueing brings attention to too many aspects at once.
Starting from the principles that “Intention guides movement” (J.H. Pilates) and “Form is a consequence of proper muscle activation” (C. Sommadossi), the PILATES SPOTLIGHT is a new teaching approach to the Pilates repertoire!
This is a new teaching approach that helps:
- Release tension from the contraction of unneeded muscles during movement
- Effectively teach and perform complex exercises maintaining the movement flow , without the need of breaking it into single, more static and simple activations
- Perfection the execution of the Classical Pilates repertoire through a deeper understanding of the muscle chains interactions and flow of energy.
